Whether for those following the low-FODMAP diet or for those who just need to improve gut health, this is your super-specific Gut Health Gift Guide! Dig in…

Hot Water Bottle – $9.36 – because sometimes the gut and pelvic area need a little warmth to relax.

Heated blanket – I use this one and found it does wonders to relax my entire body at the end of the day – my gut included.

New Books for Gut Health

My brand new cookbook, The 30 Minute Low FODMAP Cookbook is available for preorder now! I partnered with gut-health dietitian Joanna Baker to bring you the easiest to understand low-FODMAP compliant cookbook with many flavorful and delicious recipes.

Every low FODMAP recipe in this collection can be made in 30 minutes or less, and only requires basic ingredients. Built for success, my book has helpful charts, lists, and nutrition information to make it simple to whip up quick and delicious meals that will satisfy even the most sensitive stomach. I also include “What to Choose, What to Lose” where you can find out which delicious and gut-friendly foods to always keep on hand, and which to toss out.

Sarah K. Hoffman’s book, The Leaky Gut Meal Plan: 4 Weeks to Detox and Improve Digestive Health is already on sale. Sarah’s book helps you achieve relief from gut issues by offering concise information about leaky gut syndrome, and how to identify and treat it. It also includes a 4-week meal plan, along with 75 recipes that have been carefully chosen for their gut-healing properties—as well as for their tastiness.

Instant Pot – I have found the Instant Pot to be very helpful when it comes to making dinner quickly, and it makes dishes very flavorful as well. For example, I can sear chicken on both sides, add some water and low-FODMAP stock powder from Casa de Sante, and in 10 minutes I have delicious pull-apart chicken. I have also done the same with a little less stock and used low-FODMAP FODY BBQ sauce and ketchup and made delicious chicken and pork. I used the Instant Pot for a couple of my recipes in my new cookbook like my Turkey Meatballs and find myself using the pot at least once or twice per week.

Harney & Sons – $10.95 – This is my favorite brand of tea. Ever since I tried it at a B&B in New Hampshire I have been hooked. Peppermint tea can help soothe stomach aches, cramps, and pains and help you to relax.

NEW! FODY Peanut Butter Chocolate Quinoa Bars – Send someone (or yourself!) a box of these certified low-FODMAP snack bars! This is a great way to stay prepared on the low-FODMAP diet without going “hangry.”

FODY 4 Pack – Another great option from FODY and a great way to help get your kitchen pantry prepped with flavor! I have used these sauces with my Instant Pot, in stirfry, for tacos, rice bowls, to marinade beef, poultry or fish – many options to keep the low-FODMAP flavor on point. Giving this as a gift? Add it to a basket with FODY snack bars, some garlic-infused oil, dark chocolate, and rice pasta.

CV Sciences Inc., +CBDOil Peppermint Drops – I have tried a few CBD products over the past couple of years but this brand is the best by far. I especially love their peppermint-flavored drops. I tried these drops a couple of times and in every instance, I noticed my tummy felt cooled and relaxed. They may worth a try for you! Purchase here

IBgard® – $27.44 for 48 capsules – Another high-quality peppermint oil, IBgard® is the #1 Gastroenterologist recommended peppermint oil for IBS four years in a row. It’s fast-acting without heartburn due to patented SST (Site-Specific Targeting) to provide delivery beyond the stomach or more distal delivery.

Chocolate LaxativesEx-Lax Regular Strength Stimulant Laxative Chocolated Pieces, 48 count $8.44 — If you don’t have trouble with lactose, these could really do the trick for occasional constipation (includes non-fat dry milk). My Aunt brought these over to me after I had back surgery and I couldn’t make a bowel movement – and I had tried everything under the sun, but these worked. I had been on pain killers which you may know tend to cause constipation. You shouldn’t use them for more than seven days. You may want to consult with your doctor or dietitian before using them.

Poo~Pourri – $8.76 – This is a must for anyone who has gut issues and stinks up the bathroom. You can poop and relax knowing no one will smell anything! These are great to have in your bathroom at home but also a smart idea to bring in your bag or purse when you’re going to work, to the gym, to an event or party – anywhere that you’d be embarrassed if you left an unpleasant smell in the bathroom.

Tushy – $79.00 – Why not splurge on your bum? Get your own state of the art toilet experience for a fraction of the price. Upgrade your lifestyle with a TUSHY bidet attachment and poop like royalty on your porcelain throne. Includes a 12-month warranty on equipment and parts.

Cooling pillow for Crohn’s patients – $24.95 – If you know of someone with Crohn’s disease, chances are they might’ve told you how they get night sweats. This pillow can be a great and soothing comfort. It’s also great for hot flashes for women with menopause.

I hope you have a very happy holiday season and a wonderful and healthy New Year!
